About Keep It Filed

Tax season is easier when the paperwork is already in one place. That's the whole idea.

Keep It Filed makes plain, practical organizers and checklists for people who keep their own records and hand them to a tax preparer: freelancers, 1099 contractors, small-business owners and households.

How we make the kits

• We build each kit from current IRS publications, forms and instructions, and list every source with the date we checked it.
• When the IRS has only published a draft for the coming tax year, we say so and label those items DRAFT.
• Each kit is reviewed by a tax preparer before release.
• We keep the kits organizational. They total what you enter, but they don't calculate your tax or tell you what to claim.

What we're not

We're an independent publisher of organizers. We don't prepare tax returns, give tax advice, or represent anyone before the IRS. We aren't affiliated with or endorsed by the IRS or any government agency.
